NSERC USRA, International USRA, EREA, MITAC GRI or other funded awards<br \/>\n2. Research courses (IBEHS 3H03, 4H03, 3I06 or etc.)<br \/>\n3. Capstone Projects<br \/>\nWe do NOT accept volunteers for equity reasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>For Graduate Students:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are growing and currently recruiting PhD students at the HeART Lab.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 A Bachelors and Masters in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related disciplines<br \/>\n\u2022 A willingness to work effectively with staff, students, and visitors from a wide range of backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Experience in one of the following areas would be an asset:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Robot Operating System (ROS) and its Gazebo simulation package<br \/>\n\u2022 Object-oriented programming language (e.g., embedded C, Matlab, Python, C++, Java, or LabVIEW)<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer Aided Design software (e.g. Solidworks, AutoCAD)<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer Aided Manufacturing (3D printing, laser cutting, CNC milling)<br \/>\n\u2022 Magnetic Control or Manipulation<br \/>\n\u2022 Microfabrication<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">NOTE: You must also officially apply and be accepted to a graduate program in either the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eng.mcmaster.ca\/msbe\/programs\/degree-options\">School of Biomedical Engineering<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eng.mcmaster.ca\/mech\/degree-options\/\">Department of Mechanical Engineering<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eng.mcmaster.ca\/cas\/programs\/degree-options\">Department of Computing and Software<\/a> at McMaster University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One Domestic PhD Student position is available for our project on &#8216;Developing Continuum Robots for ENT Surgery&#8217;.
